A small canvas to share with you, a local Lainston House commission. Lainston is a luxury country house hotel near Sparsholt in Winchester. It’s a beautiful wedding venue and this acrylic and ink painting on 20 x 20 cm chunky canvas was created for a wedding anniversary gift.
The facade of the house is smaller than some… but has a wonderful boutique feel and the surrounding countryside is some of the best in the area. So as well as capturing the overall shape of the building, it was also important to paint the green immaculate lawns and old entrance overgrown with antique roses.
